The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) is a $1.34 billion operation that houses close to 48,000 inmates, manages 35,000 paroles and supports 11,000 correction professionals across 49 locations in the state.

IDOC recently implemented the new Offender360 solution to manage the entire offender lifecycle for statewide corrections efforts. The new solution automates areas of corrections management including Offender Management, Facilities Management, and Community Corrections Management to help jurisdictions move from making decisions based on resources to making decisions based on risk.

Protection of the public and staff are critical. Poor documentation and inaccurate data result in errors and adverse incidents. Advanced management tools enable safe, secure and humane supervision of offenders. The Offender360 solution responds to the demand for meaningful data collection and offers facilities a more efficient way to manage their daily operations.

Key benefits include a single easy to use Web portal that includes all offender data, reduction of data entry into multiple systems for each offender as they move through the criminal justice system, automated workflow enforcing business rules and performing actions based on defined business logic for all corrections activities, and the reduction in the amount of paper that is necessary to print and store in the paper archives and offsite storage locations.
