The state senate on Monday voted 33 to 0 confirming Carlos Ramos as director of the California Department of Technology (CalTech).
This was Ramos’ second confirmation as state technology czar after last year’s government reorganization triggered a requirement for him be approved as director. Previously he held the position of secretary of the California Technology Agency.
On April 9, Ramos was approved by the Senate Rules Committee by a vote of 5 to 0.
