E-Vote: Approaching Election Could Subject States and Localities to New Requirements, Expense

The Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act of 2007 authored by Representative Rush Holt and supported by 200 co-sponsors, would require a mandatory voter-verified paper record as well as other stipulations that some fear would disrupt the approaching primary elections that begin early next year, since less than 20 states would be in compliance with all the new requirements, according to some estimates.
