Average Daily Maximum Temperatures Over the Eastern United States

A study by NASA compared a computer projection of average daily maximum temperatures over the eastern United States for July 2085 (below) with actual temperatures in July 1993 (top). The overall increase nationwide is staggering.
Areas in violet shading show temperatures of 79�°F; green 86�°F; yellow 93�°F; red 100�°F; dark purple 108�°F.
