Dallas County, Tex., signed a contract with Tyler Technologies Inc. for the company to provide its Odyssey Case Manager system to the county's civil and justice of the peace courts. The total estimated value of the contract, which includes software licenses and professional services, is about $2.8 million.

Under the terms of the contract, Tyler will implement the system to manage cases in Dallas County's civil, truancy and justice of the peace courts. The new system will enable the county to consolidate multiple functions associated with case processing -- including imaging, calendaring, reporting, forms management, and accounting -- in a single software package.
