Digital Communities, The Center for Digital Government and Government Technology invite you to participate in a special free webinar which showcases the “secrets” behind the technology achievements of the four top county governments in 2012.
The 2012 Center for Digital Government Digital Counties Survey winners will share specific examples of their innovations which other county and city governments can replicate.
This year’s winners will discuss:
Using social media and other outreach tools to get 1000 survey responses within one week on the topic of County budget;
Practicing the “art of shrinkage” – reducing costs and budget, while at the same time increasing online services and use of technology in County departments;
Successfully implementing shared services, where a single county data center hosts applications and services for over 100 townships and municipalities.
The Digital Counties Survey continues to document the technological progress and innovation of county governments. The four survey winners will describe how they improved service to citizens and made more efficient use of government resources.
Making the leap to a private or hybrid cloud can be scary for government – but the rewards can be significant. Join Government Technology and the Center for Digital Government as we discuss why it’s better to jump sooner rather than later – and why ”on demand” is the most effective cloud and capacity choice.
Most government organizations are either in the cloud with email today or are contemplating such a move. There are many pros and cons to making such a change but it's important to not lose sight of the implications to advanced threat protection and your organization's security posture.
