Historically organizations do equipment maintenance based upon a fixed number of miles or hours or months between services. But this can result in wasted time and effort to perform maintenance when it’s not really required.
Condition-based monitoring (CBM) establishes indicators for examining and observing the equipment. Then maintenance is performed after one or more indicators show that equipment is going to fail or performance is deteriorating.
CBM maintains service levels and meets regulatory requirements, but can significantly reduce the cost of maintaining a large fleet of assets. With this teleconference you will learn how condition-based monitoring can help public agencies move away from traditional calendar-based maintenance to detect and respond to changes in asset performance as they occur.
