The Virginia-based company says it has bought GuardSight, a Utah firm founded in 2009 that focuses on what a statement called “specialized cybersecurity management services for SMBs and large enterprises.”
Terms were not disclosed.
According to that statement, the deal gives Iron Bow the chance to offer what it called a “more holistic cybersecurity offering” for governments — services that can help those agencies modernize their digital defenses as cybersecurity takes on increasing importance.
“Today, zero trust-based cybersecurity is critical to ensuring companies and organizations meet their missions,” said Rene LaVigne, Iron Bow Technologies president and CEO, in the statement. “As cyber threats continue to proliferate, the combination of GuardSight and Iron Bow will bring together the best cybersecurity technology, processes and people from the public and private sectors so our clients can easily evolve their zero-trust strategies and always stay a step ahead.”
GuardSight said it specializes in providing “proactive cybersecurity” via its workforce, which includes military, government intelligence and enterprise security professionals.
“We have always been deeply committed to the success and security of our clients,” said John McGloughlin, GuardSight CEO, in the statement. “By joining forces with Iron Bow, we will be able to serve them even better with more comprehensive zero-trust offerings in additional markets.”
