Springbrook Software, an Oregon-based company that makes ERP tools for local governments, has bought property tax management technology firm PUBLIQ Software, adding new functions to Springbrook’s Cirrus financial platform.

Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

According to a news release this week, Springbrook's cloud software for finances, payroll, utility billing and citizen payments is used by almost 2,000 public-sector clients in the U.S., including cities, towns, fire districts and other agencies.

PUBLIQ, based in South Carolina, sells technology for tax billing, collections, assessments, appraisals and compliance. Its suite of software tools includes Assessor, Auditor, Treasurer/Tax Collector and Tax Sales Management, all of which will be folded into Springbrook's Cirrus platform.

“PUBLIQ Software will enable us to offer a new comprehensive and powerful property tax suite," Robert Bonavito, CEO of Springbrook Software, said in a public statement. "It will be fully integrated with our Cirrus financial ERP and will provide our customers with the strongest, most complete and secure platform for running local government agencies."

The addition of new software and functionality to Springbrook's local government offerings follows a time of expansion for the company, which acquired the New Zealand-based ERP firm MAGIQ Software in October 2021 and released a new budgeting and planning platform the following month.
