Missouri Charts Path to Better Data Management

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is uniting more than 150 unique sets of data in a master data management program that state CIO Rich Kliethermes sees as a great jumping off point for future state endeavors. At the NASCIO Mid-Year Conference last month in Baltimore, Kliethermes spoke about the importance of strong governance when sharing data, as well as the need for business interests to work alongside IT staff on data-related projects.
