Call for Entries - Digital Counties Survey 2019

The Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties invite you to participate in the 17th annual Digital Counties Survey!

The online survey is open to all U.S. counties. Awards are based on five population classifications. Top-ranked counties will receive the Digital Counties Survey award and will be honored at a reception during NACo’s annual conference July 12-15 in Las Vegas/ Clark County, Tenn.

Based on the 10 key characteristics of a "digital county". Digital Counties have evolved to recognize the value of technology, empower their tech leaders and use new ideas to make life better for everyone who lives and does business in the county.

Characteristics that comprise 2019 Digital Counties:

  • Efficient
  • Data Governance (utilization of data)
  • Secure
  • Resilient
  • Staffed/Supported
  • Connected
  • Innovative
  • Best Practices

All U.S. counties are invited to participate! Consolidated city/county governments may select one survey in which to participate annually, either the Digital Counties Survey or the Digital Cities Survey conducted in the summer.

Participation benefits:

  • An annual tool for county-wide information gathering, self-assessment, benchmarking nationally, and staff validation.
  • Aggregated results will be shared
