Panasonic introduced its smallest camcorders to date. The new, ultra-compact Palmcorder MultiCam digital camcorders offer high-resolution digital video, high-quality still images and easy PC connection.

The new models, the PV-DC152 and PV-DC252, feature Panasonic's PhotoShot built-in digital still camera to capture still shots that can be downloaded to a PC. The PV-DC252 adds the convenience of removable storage with an SD Memory Card/MultiMediaCard slot.

The PV-DC152 and PV-DC252 models retail for $899.95 and $999.95, respectively.

Crime Analyzer
Crime Analysis Associates just released Version 3.4 of Crime Analysis Information System-Map. CAIS-Map makes generating crime maps quick and easy for crime analysis units and law enforcement agencies. The system allows agencies regardless of size to map crimes in an efficient manner. From that, they can generate crime statistics and crime maps, including tactical predictions of when and where a criminal may strike again given a crime series.

Version 3.4 features improved printing options and faster and more efficient geocoding of data.

Porta Drive
LaCie is shipping the new USB Hexa Media Drive, a compact, portable drive that enables Mac and Windows users to read from and write to all of the leading memory cards. The Hexa Media Drive provides content developers and consumers with a solution for transferring multimedia files to a laptop or personal computer where they can be viewed, manipulated, e-mailed or printed. Using the Hexa drive's write capabilities, multimedia files can also be transferred back to the memory card.

LaCie's new Hexa Media Drives are compatible with CompactFlash, SmartMedia, MemoryStick, SD card, MultiMedia card and MicroDrive memory cards.

Sharp Electronics Corp. introduced the NotevisionM20X, a versatile projector in a slim, compact frame.

The NotevisionM20X can work in any environment, from the boardroom to the family room. It is compatible with PC, Mac or Workstation through its DVI-I input, as well as with video sources such as DVD, HDTV, VCR or video game consoles such as Microsoft's Xbox.

The NotevisionM20X weighs 5.8 lbs. and offers native XGA resolution and 1900 ANSI Lumens brightness.
