Anytime there is a wide-scale power outage, I know people will die. One of the main causes: improper use of a gasoline generator. Unfortunately there have already been eight deaths due to people improperly using gasoline-powered generators. Usually the deaths come from carbon monoxide poisoning because of the improper placement of the generator.
I recall one death years ago from a man who ran his generator in his living room -- I am not kidding!
