Annual Disaster Costs Expected to Top $54 Billion a Year

Costs are starting to ramp up, equivalent to 0.3 percent of the nation’s current gross domestic product.

There really isn't anything new with this report from the Congressional Budget Office, CBO: Hurricanes and Storm Flooding Taking a $54 Billion Annual Toll.

I just did another post earlier this week on the cost of disasters, Disaster Funding Is Up — Way Up.

Borrow, borrow, borrow the money. It will take a fiscal crisis to get Congress to act. Uncle Sugar can only print so much money! What is different about this "government" report is that coming from the CBO it points the finger at climate change for costs ramping up.
