California Supports Know Before You Fly

Safety first!

A couple of days ago, someone from Oregon shared that they had the first report of a drone impacting a fixed wing aircraft at 2,000 feet. That would be 1,600 feet higher than what is allowed by current FAA regulations for drones.

I also saw that the California Legislature recently passed a resolution supportive of the Know Before You Fly program of public education. You can read the full text of the resolution at California Senate.

Think first about safety, then fun when it comes to flying a drone.
