CDC Provides School Reopening Plan

For much of 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was muzzled by the Trump administration. Now, it is the center point for information dissemination and expertise on the coronavirus pandemic. We finally have a science-based information source, yet not everyone is happy with the information it is putting out — especially about how to safely reopen schools for learning.

Who is unhappy? School administrations, parents, teachers, staff, students, and I suppose school bus drivers. There is something for everyone to dislike in the plan. Reactions range from it is too hard to reopen schools, to teachers stating that it is not safe for them to return to the classroom. 

We got what we wanted and still no one is totally happy with the results, meaning guidance coming out of the CDC. Let's just agree that they have a tough mission and, unfortunately, the dynamic nature of the pandemic, with new virus variants about to become dominant, will not make it any easier.
