No matter what I did that day or today, it will have more meaning than this back and forth between the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the leadership of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
I think that GAO did the job they were asked to do and are standing by their ruling. After all, they don't pick and choose what to look at.
Then there is DHS leadership who may be thinking, that there will always be an * after their previous title that delegitimizes their holding of this significant federal "acting" appointment.
In fact, for Acting Secretary Wolf* what delegitimizes his holding of the position is his decision to send federal officers to Portland in order to incite unrest in order to establish a talking point for the future election.
