Counties with dedicated IT security staff: 64%

Cities with dedicated IT security staff: 70%

Who will be hiring more cybersecurity staff:

  • 97% of Counties
  • 91% of Cities

The number of days between first evidence of a compromise and detection in the USA was 75.5 days in 2017, compared with 99 days in 2016 [I guess you call that progress].

The estimated damage from cybercrime-related issues in 2004 was $3.5B. The estimate for damages in 2021 is expected to be $6 trillion.
