I would be remiss if I did not share the Cybersecurity Workshop that the King County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is putting on next week here in Western Washington. Check out:

2019 Cybersecurity Workshop
When: Tuesday, March 26, 2019
Time: 8:00AM - 4:00PM
Where: DoubleTree Suites - Seattle Airport Southcenter
Join us Tuesday, March 26, 2019, for the King County, Region 6 Critical Infrastructure Working Group Cybersecurity Workshop. Engage in timely discussions on current cyberthreats and how stakeholders can partner together as a region to increase the cybersecurity and resilience of our infrastructure.

  • HEAR from experts on 911 and first responder communications. What are the vulnerabilities and preventable measures in our 911, dispatch and delivery systems? Engage in scenario-based discussion.
  • GAIN a better understanding of mobile security, and hear about threats, vulnerabilities and security surrounding the devices that we use every day.
  • GET updates from federal, state, and local emergency management and cybersecurity experts and officials on what is happening around the region.
  • LEARN about low-cost, efficient cybersolutions that can protect your business from cyberthreats. Recent cyberattacks around the country have highlighted the need for ALL business owners to be aware of steps that YOU can take to prevent being a target.
  • NETWORK with cybersecurity stakeholders from the Puget Sound. Meet the partners that you need to know before an emergency happens.
