Flu and COVID Vaccinations

They are available now.

It is that time of year again. Flu shots are available now at a drug store or doctor’s office of your choice.

In the last two years, flu has not been a significant issue — thankfully. People were hunkered down, wearing masks and isolating at home. The only indication of what this flu season will bring is what has happened in the Southern Hemisphere. It is winter there and flu has spread quickly and had a significant health impact. It is also reported that flu cases are showing up already in Texas.

The new COVID-19 vaccines are also available for the majority of the population. Last night we had our appointment at a Walgreen’s store and got both of our vaccinations at the same time.

The results so far are sore arms, but I’ll take that over getting long COVID or the flu, which I have not had for decades.

Take the time, get your shots and become better protected!
