IAEM Award Nominations Coming Due

You have about 10 days to get your nominations in.

Every year at the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) annual conference, they announce award winners for a variety of categories. See the announcement below that I extracted from an email reminding people to submit their accomplishments and show off their creativity.

"There are numerous successful programs, productive communities, outstanding emergency managers, flourishing partnerships, and hardworking students and student chapters in the Region. I need your help to encourage nominations to recognize the excellent work from the past year.

Would you please reach out to each state’s emergency management organization in your Region to encourage their leadership to spread the word about the awards competition to their membership? It is an opportunity for them to recognize and honor individuals, programs, and organizations they are familiar with for their special or significant contributions to emergency management.

An additional benefit for each award winner this year is a $315 credit towards their registration fee at IAEM’s annual conference scheduled November 15-20, 2019 in Savannah, Georgia. Not only does the winning nominee receive international recognition for their achievements, they also receive a considerable price reduction on the cost of attending the conference.

The deadline for entries is May 31, 2019, 5:00 p.m. EDT. Links to all of the awards (listed below) are on the IAEM Awards page at www.IAEM.org/Resources/Awards/intro. Click on the link to any award category of interest for complete descriptions and details, including guidelines, entry instructions, and entry forms. Attached to this email is a summary of all the awards, including brief descriptions, past winners, and judging criteria for the nominations."
