Job: Security Specialist (Protective Security Advisor)

This one is in Alaska.

I have to say that I’ve never seen a federal job posted for such a short time period, but here it is: security specialist (protective security advisor).

This is a growing workforce role since now we have Cyberscurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) regional offices functioning across the United States. If not the one above, there should be other opportunities being posted for positions in other regions.

The other class of position that is growing in CISA regions has to do with cybersecurity. For instance, Region X has had only one such full-time equivalent (FTE) for its four-state region. More are being added — here and across America. Watch for those if you are so inclined.
Eric Holdeman is a nationally known emergency manager. He has worked in emergency management at the federal, state and local government levels. Today he serves as the Director, Center for Regional Disaster Resilience (CRDR), which is part of the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER). The focus for his work there is engaging the public and private sectors to work collaboratively on issues of common interest, regionally and cross jurisdictionally.
