Status and Future of the Pandemic

A bit of worry for now and hope for the future.

Here are the Holdeman plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas ... there will be no family celebrations. Call it a "gap year" if you like, but it goes along with our wedding anniversary and family vacation at the beach plans that were canned when the virus arrived.

If we are "lucky" and a high percentage of people get the COVID-19 vaccines when they become available, I'm hoping that Thanksgiving 2021 will be more normal.

I've found these The Daily podcast interviews with Donald G. McNeil Jr., a science and health reporter for the New York Times, to be very helpful in understanding the virus and where we are in the pandemic. Check out "Where Is This Pandemic Headed?" for the latest news and forecast.

Until then, wear a mask, social distance, and wash your hands. Pretty simple steps — if only everyone followed them!
