THOR is the new prototype communications vehicle developed by Verizon for emergency responder use in a disaster. It does have all the bells and whistles one can think of for a single mobile support vehicle.

“Verizon has unveiled THOR, a custom Ford F650 that can deploy a satellite dish, 5G mast, and drones to respond to natural disasters and emergencies”Two comments. I thought it interesting that they gave AT&T a nod for their drone communications link in the article and then there is mention of the two generators that are on board.
What the writer likely doesn’t recognize is that I bet the second generator is a backup, thus providing some redundancy that we don’t always see these days.
