Virtual Exercise Best Practices and Safe Exercise Practices for In-person Events

New resources from FEMA’s National Exercise Division.

See the announcement below and opportunity to learn more at three different webinar dates and times:

“FEMA’s National Exercise Division (NED) recognized that exercise practitioners have struggled to adapt exercises to the unique challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has produced. NED collected and compiled lessons learned and best practices from across the whole community of exercise professionals related to two topics: Virtual Exercise Best Practices and Safe Exercise Practices for In-person Events.

“I would like to thank those that provided comments and their insight during the development of the two products. The products are going through final QA/QC and will be posted next week to the HSEEP Resource page on PrepToolkit ( HSEEP Policy & Guidance - HSEEP Resources - Preparedness Toolkit (fema.gov)) and the Exercise and Preparedness Tools page on FEMA.GOV ( Exercise and Preparedness Tools | FEMA.gov

“NED will host three webinars for whole community exercise practitioners. The webinars will introduce the two new Exercise Best Practices Guides, providing stakeholders with an overview of the products and how to use and locate them.

“If you are unable to attend one of the webinars, each of which will present the same content, a recorded webinar will be made available later.

“The webinars are scheduled for:
  • Monday, June 14, 2021 at 2 p.m. ET
  • Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 4 p.m. ET
  • Thursday, May 17, 2021 at 12 p.m. ET
