(TNS) — Yolo County Library has announced the implementation of a new platform called Patron Point.

The new engagement platform, which will serve library patrons across all seven library branches, is based in Dublin, Ohio and used internationally by hundreds of libraries to provide digital patron management solutions, according to a press release from the county.

"Yolo County Library cardholders may notice improvements in the library notices, newsletters and other communications as Patron Point is implemented," the press release emphasized.

The platform will allow the library to improve communication with patrons and better achieve its mission to connect people and ideas.

"We are responding to many patrons who want more ways to learn about library news and events," said Yolo County Librarian and Chief Archivist Mark Fink. " Patron Point is a proven technology for increasing awareness of library programs and services."

For more information about the library's programs and resources, residents can visit their local library, or the library's website, https://yolocountylibrary.org, or connect with Yolo County Library on Facebook at www.facebook.com/yolocountylibrary.org and Instagram at @yolocountylibrary.
