Obama-Appointed CISO Leaves White House

The circumstances under which CISO Cory Louie left his post are unclear.

The CISO responsible for safeguarding the White House against cyberthreats was either let go by or resigned from the Trump administration Feb. 2.

According to a Friday report from ZDNet, Cory Louie, the White House CISO appointed by former President Barack Obama, has been removed from the post under the aforementioned “unclear” circumstances.

Louie was initially appointed to the cybersecurity position in August 2015. At the time of this report, there was no information available on the White House website as to Louie’s departure or a potential replacement.

The former CISO’s LinkedIn page does not reflect the change in employment at this time.
