Mapping Data
MapInfo Professional 7.5 mapping and analysis software offers new features, including enhanced data creation and analysis tools designed to increase productivity and improve enterprise-wide decision-making. This version supports Open GIS Consortium standards for Web mapping service, enabling users to access remote or local servers over the Internet or intranet.

No 3-D Glasses Necessary
Sharp Systems of America offers the Actius RD3D notebook computer, which makes it possible to view three-dimensional images with the naked eye, but easily switches to two-dimensional viewing for applications such as spreadsheets, photo editing or e-mail. The notebook's three-dimensional capabilities make it possible to use CAD and other design applications, medical imaging, mapping/GIS, broadcasting, electronic books and others. It has 512 MB of DDR SDRAM, a 60 GB hard drive, and can scale up to 1,024 MB.

Funds Detector
eCivis Grants Locator is an online resource for cities and counties, providing governments with verified details on all federal and select state and foundation grant programs. All application forms, standard forms, guides, instructions and previously awarded applications are accessible online. Every grant shows funding, eligibility, program details, matching requirements and contact information. Users also can receive a daily or weekly e-mail to stay abreast of new funding opportunities. Staff works with governments to develop funding goals for the coming year.

Streamline Web Meetings
Encounter's ShareItNow Web conferencing service lets customers, partners, suppliers and colleagues share any application on their desktops. In two clicks, participants can view the application simultaneously. ShareItNow's annotation tools allow users to highlight areas, add text or comments to the application they're viewing, draw circles or underline sentences, take a "snapshot" of the application or move through a presentation page by page. Presenters select an icon that opens a "Web Window" and can immediately share any application on their desktops, including proprietary software, PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
