How much does LG’s rollable OLED TV cost?

Answer: As much as a Tesla.

The LG Signature OLED R was first teased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2018, but LG says it is finally ready to hit the market. But at $87,000, this fancy screen does not come cheap.

The OLED R’s biggest selling point is the fact that it can all but disappear when not in use, rolling itself up inside the box at its base. That’s no small feat for a 65-inch, OLED flatscreen. There’s also a “Line View” mode in which just a small portion of the TV unrolls itself and can display things like a clock or music.

The rollability of the screen doesn’t compromise its quality — it comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 8K resolution. There’s also an HDMI 2.1 port on the back and a Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) mode, which optimizes 4K video and will be ideal for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X coming out in the near future.
