Is there really a virtual interactive 2020 dumpster fire?

Answer: Yes.

This perhaps sums up 2020 perfectly: Someone has created a virtual interactive dumpster fire to celebrate the end of this dumpster fire of a year.

Just like a lot of other things in 2020, anyone can participate as long as they have an Internet connection. Just email a note or image (it can be literally anything you want) and then watch as it is printed out and delivered via conveyor belt into a dumpster labeled “2020” in which it is then incinerated.

Whoever is behind this contraption isn’t the only one taking advantage of the dumpster fire as a 2020 metaphor. According to CNN, 3D printing company RexRoi LLC has been using it to survive the pandemic. When business dried up due to COVID-19, the company started selling 3D-printed 2020 dumpster fire toys and Christmas ornaments on Etsy, and people are loving it.

“‘Dumpster fire’ is just the perfect description of the year we've had,” RexRoi CEO Amir Fakharian said. “COVID-19 is like a fire in a dumpster burning everything in sight, so we thought this product would really resonate with people.”
