How much is your data worth to Amazon?

The e-commerce giant has announced a new, invite-only program in which users can get reimbursed for allowing the company to access certain data on their device. Called the Amazon Shopper Panel, the program is invite-only and reportedly very exclusive. Those who did get an invitation can submit 10 receipts from purchases made outside of Amazon to receive $10, and they can also get rewards for completing surveys.

Additionally, they can opt in to ad verification, “for the ads they see from Amazon’s own advertising or third-party businesses that advertise through Amazon Ads,” according to Amazon’s website. This allows Amazon to “confirm which ads from Amazon [the user] saw on their device.” And the company will give them a whopping $2 a month as a reward. If you weren’t lucky enough to get an invitation to participate, there is a waitlist you can join.
