If you drive a Porsche, you may get the chance to hear what your driving would sound like as music. Engadget reports that the automaker has developed a system called Soundtrack My Life that can play original music customized to reflect how you are driving.

In theory, it works much like gaming music, with the intensity changing in real time to reflect how the car is moving. If you’re cruising down the freeway, the music will be faster paced than if you’re stuck in traffic, for example.

The music itself is original samples and snippets that get combined by an algorithm in a style that matches how you’re driving. All you have to do is pick the style of music that you want. Additionally, since the music is original and generated in real time, it will always be new.

“That's what's so exciting for the driver. They experience a new soundtrack every time. The format promises a long-lasting listening experience, at least three to five times longer than with linear music,” said Norman Friedenberger of Porsche Digital.

Unfortunately, Porsche has not yet decided if it is going to bring Soundtrack My Life to the masses. They are reportedly still testing it and developing the “overall experience.”
