What has Facebook rebranded to?

Answer: FACEBOOK.

Almost a month ago, a Pew Research Center survey revealed that only 29 percent of Americans knew that Facebook owned the popular social media channels Instagram and WhatsApp. Now Facebook just revealed a rebranding of its corporate logo that the company hopes will change that fact. Say hello to FACEBOOK.

The login and settings pages of Instagram and WhatsApp will feature this new logo in the same color as their respective apps (so the font will be green on WhatsApp and a purple gradient on Instagram). The word “from” will also appear before the logo, so you should have no doubt that what you’re logging in to is a FACEBOOK product.

“This brand change is a way to better communicate our ownership structure to the people and businesses who use our services to connect, share, build community and grow their audiences,” Facebook Chief Marketing Officer Antonio Lucio wrote in a blog post announcing the change.
