Thought leaders from industry, government and academia will gather on Oct. 10 in Sacramento for the State of California Cybersecurity Education Summit.

The summit hosted by California State University, Sacramento, and the California Department of Technology, California Office of Emergency Services, the California Military Department and the California Highway Patrol.

The educational forum offers continuing education units (CEUs) and features content tied to the five pillars of cybersecurity: identify, detect, protect, respond and recover.

The Summit is designed to engage the entire spectrum of California's cybersecurity professionals, whose job functions and expertise range from highly technical to executive. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the nation's leading solution providers and discover the latest products and services for enterprise cyberdefense. One goal of the Summit is to offer proven strategies and practical tools and templates for transforming your IT and Information Security operations.

The summit runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento, 1230 J St. Registration is required. For information, call (916) 447-1700.
