Artificial intelligence is everywhere – or so it seems. The question is, how do state technology leaders separate the potential from the hype for one of today’s hottest technologies?

Answers to this question and much more are evident in an August 2019 survey of 45 state technology leaders from the Center for Digital Government, NASCIO and IBM. Surveyed CIOs see significant near-term opportunities for AI. For example, 55% of survey respondents are doing Proofs of Concept or RFIs while over 30% are piloting AI or using in the enterprise today.

Join Government Technology on Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. Pacific/2 p.m. Eastern as our panel of experts – including Utah State CIO Mike Hussey – discuss the technology, talent, policy and organizational challenges around AI, and what states are doing to overcome them and reap rewards.

  • Potential hurdles to AI adoption – and how to overcome them
