Given growing fiscal uncertainty in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s more important than ever for cities to have solid systems in place to promote economic development.

Until recently, Vallejo’s Planning and Development Services Department relied on a legacy IT system that couldn’t accommodate online payments or manage key processes electronically. That slowed the city’s ability to collect vital fees and accelerate critical planning and development processes. To address these challenges, the city recently adopted a new system that enables it to collect fees and more effectively manage planning entitlement, building permits and code enforcement processes.

Join Government Technology, Oracle and leaders from the city of Vallejo, Calif., on December 8 at 10:00am PT/1:00pm ET to explore the business challenges faced by the city and how a mission critical, cloud-platform solution was implemented to:

  • Enable residents to do business with the city electronically
  • Reduce call volumes and decrease processing backlogs
  • Boost economic development during a time of growing fiscal uncertainty
