Adelle Hartley is a 39-year-old Australian developer who's out of work and has no money for food, but maintains both her website and Facebook profile, ninemsn reported. She also owns an iPhone 4 and a laptop, and spends $10 a day to plug in and work from an Internet cafe.
While it's rather uncommon to see homeless people with laptops, the number of those with mobile phones is growing, according to a spokeswoman from Mission Australia. "People should not pass judgement if they see a homeless person with a phone," the spokeswoman told ninemsn. "On the streets it can be very wise to have means of contact."
