Yesterday, Richard Branson, the man behind the space tourism company Virgin Galactic, announced his next exotic voyage. Where does the billionaire adventurer plan to go this time?

.

Answer: To the bottom of the ocean. Later this year Branson and fellow explorer Chris Welsh will begin taking turns diving to the deepest parts of the ocean in a single-person submarine called the Virgin Oceanic. According to the AFP, Welsh will pilot the first plunge "into the Mariana Trench in the Pacific, which goes down to 36,201 feet" while Branson will be at the helm for the second dive during which he'll take the "submersible to the Atlantic's Puerto Rico trench, some 28,232 feet, which has never been explored before."
