Officers in Washington County, Ore., recently responded to a call about a suspected burglar inside a locked bathroom. The resident called 911 when she heard rustling noises and saw shadows coming from the behind the door.

After bringing in a canine unit, surrounding the house, and calling for the suspect to come out, police finally decided to force their way in. When they burst in with their guns drawn, they found their suspect to be a Roomba robot vacuum cleaner doing a “very thorough vacuuming job.”

The police department recounted the incident in a Facebook post Tuesday, though they didn’t specify the date it occurred. You could say it was overall a sweeping success.
