Answer: Endeavour

For as long as man has been on Earth, we’ve endeavoured to go to space — even after the 1986 debacle of Challenger, which Endeavour replaced. The 170,000-pound shuttle was named by kids through crowdsourcing efforts. Last Friday, Endeavour was a local spectacle in L.A., as it took an estimated $10 million ride on a 160-wheel carrier. The high-maintenance shuttle had a two-day road trip, traveling 12 miles from LAX to the California Science Center. Curious to see what Endeavour looks like? Public display begins on Oct. 30th.
