More Online Resources for Navy Medicine

OMAHA, Neb. -- Navy physicians, nurses and allied health professionals will have online access to thousands of hours of continuing medical education (CME) thanks to new technology being implemented by the Naval Medical Information Management Center (NMIMC).

NMIMC, located at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., will offer access to an online medical reference consisting of peer-reviewed clinical review articles for 7,000 diseases and a repository of 40,000 hours of CME for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and optometrists.

The new services stem from a contract awarded to eMedicine.com, and include access to a dedicated version of the firm's eMedicine Clinical Knowledge Base.

"eMedicine's huge collection of on demand CME provides an efficient method for Navy health care professionals to keep up-to-date and meet Continuing Education requirements," said Dennis Carson, senior vice president of eMedicine.com.
