A new storybook for girls teaches what subject?

Answer: computer programming

The book, called Hello Ruby, is aimed at girls aged four to seven, and was created with the intent of encouraging participation in computer science, a field known for its absence of females. The story involves a girl named Ruby (which is, incidentally, also the name of a programming language) and animals and robots that she meets on her journey. Alongside the narrative, which indirectly introduces computer science concepts, is an activity book. The project was started on Kickstarter and raised more than $380,000.
