The state of Georgia's Web site has improved functionality and a new look and feel designed to help citizens find government services and information more quickly. The Web site was unveiled today by the Georgia Technology Authority.
Among the improvements:
- Forms.georgia.gov -- A compilation of the forms available from state agencies are now easily accessible from one page
- More content and links to services on the home page
- Enhanced search capabilities ---- an upgraded search engine powered by Google that will give quicker, more relevant search results
- Relocation information (relocate.georgia.gov) for those who are moving to Georgia
- Rich Site Summary (RSS) feeds available for users to receive the most recent news headlines from georgia.gov
- Interactive weekly poll -- users can take a weekly poll and learn more about state government.
- Driver's license renewal
- Job searches
- Business registration
- Tax information and services
- Road and traffic conditions
- Reservations for state parks
- Hunting and fishing licenses.
The upgrade is the first in a series of continual improvements that will bring more online services and information to Georgians.
