In the U.S. in 2013, Internet users averaged 1.2 gigabytes per month in bandwidth usage, an increase from 2012's average of 690 megabytes. Mobile usage nearly doubled, and Cisco predicted that mobile Internet usage will surpass that of wired devices by 2016.
