The world’s first Internet-connected toothbrush is being developed by Kolibree. Unveiled at the annual Consumer Electronics Show on Jan. 4 in Las Vegas, the makers announced the device would change how people brush their teeth.

"The technology in the industry has not evolved for years," company co-founder Loic Cessot told AFP. "The idea is not to brush stronger, but smarter."

A sensor in the brush detects how well the user is cleaning their teeth and that data is transmitted to a smartphone app that can then be monitored by the user or his parents.
