A new company, Warka Water Inc., is working to create a tower that can collect safe drinking water from thin air -- up to an average of 26.4 gallons per day, according to the company's Kickstarter page.

Once assembled, the tower will be 33 feet tall and weigh 132 pounds, and consists of a lightweight woven bamboo structure. Within the structure is an inner plastic mesh that retains water droplets from passing fog, rainwater and overnight dew, which all fall into a collector and large tank.
