Developed at King’s College London, Electrically Accelerated and Enhanced Remineralisation (EAER), accelerates the natural movement of calcium and phosphate minerals in a damaged tooth, according to the Guardian. The pain-free technique would be used as a replacement treatment for cavities, used instead of drilling and injections. Some predict the technology could be available in three years.
