When will self-driving vehicles catch on?

Answer: by the end of 2016

By the end of 2016, self-driving vehicles will be in operation in at least 30 U.S. cities. While companies like Google and others have been testing self-driving cars for several years, interest is picking up in more places. One company, Comet LLC, will launch 18 to 30 self-driving vehicle pilots in the next two years. To start, the company said it plans to focus on semi-private areas like airports, college campuses and theme parks, where their vehicles will serve as shuttles that are designed to carry just a few or many people.
