The world just can’t get enough of ChatGPT, can it? The large language model has found yet another avenue in which to show off its talents: dating apps.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, OkCupid has been adding questions written by the chatbot in its profile-building questionnaire. OKCupid Head of Global Communications Michael Kaye said he gave the bot two prompts: “what would you ask on a date?” and “what would you ask on a dating app?” The company chose six questions that the bot generated and added them to its infamously long list of questions asked of users when they create a profile.

Users get to choose which of OkCupid’s 4,000 matching questions they want to answer when they build their profile. Their answers are how the algorithms match them with other users. According to Kaye, ChatGPT’s six questions were chosen more than 150,000 times since they were introduced a few weeks ago. “Given the success of this experiment, we’ll be adding new in-app matching questions generated by ChatGPT in the coming month,” he said.
