Marcopolus now guides the state’s technology efforts following the public-sector retirement of former state CIO Steve Emanuel, who will act for Alliant Technologies Inc. as a liaison between the company and government after his April 8 departure.
Before taking his deputy CIO role, Marcopolus served as OIT’s director of Architecture, Standards & Enterprise Technologies.
In an email to Government Technology, Emanuel said that with Marcopolus as a temporary replacement, he leaves the office in “very capable hands."
